Cook generously.

Recipe Goblin works when members share honestly, make room for different traditions, and help the next cook succeed. CS Idea Labs LLC applies these rules to accounts and content across the site.

Share work you have the right to share

Write recipes in your own words, use photographs you made or have permission to use, and credit meaningful sources of inspiration. Do not copy another creator's photographs or distinctive writing.

Keep reviews real

Rate recipes you actually cooked. Explain changes fairly and keep criticism about the recipe, not the person. Disclose gifts, sponsorships, business relationships, or other material connections. Experience points are awarded for participation, not praise.

Make safety visible

Call out common allergens when you know them. Do not present unsafe preservation, storage, foraging, fermentation, canning, or cooking practices as proven safe. Clearly label alcohol and other ingredients that may matter to readers.

No abuse, explicit material, or spam

Do not harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, expose private information, post sexual content, promote hate, manipulate engagement, advertise repeatedly, or send deceptive invitations. Never upload content involving the sexual exploitation of minors.

Help moderation work

Automated screening and people both make mistakes. If content is held, wait for review instead of reposting it. If you see a serious problem, preserve the page address and email support@recipegoblin.com. Do not organize harassment or misuse reports to settle disagreements.

What happens when rules are broken

Depending on context and severity, we may ask for an edit, remove content, reduce experience points, limit invitations, suspend an account, preserve evidence, or contact appropriate authorities. Members may ask support to reconsider a decision.
